Valley Health provides primary and preventative care to approximately 85,000 + patients each year in southern West Virginia, southeastern Ohio and eastern Kentucky. Valley Health operates over 30 healthcare facilities and is home to medical experts who provide care in family medicine, women’s health, dentistry, internal medicine, ear, nose and throat, optometry, pediatrics and behavioral health. It also administers pharmacies and specialized programs including Women, Infants and Children (WIC) nutrition services, school-based health centers, black lung treatment and programs for the homeless. Valley Health is recruiting counselors to practice in Charleston, WV. We have a specific need for counselors who have experience in working with children and adolescents. Valley Health currently employs 10 counselors who practice at various Valley Health locations. Each provider also offers telehealth services to patients seen at other Valley Health locations. The incoming candidate will have the ability to work a 4 or 5-day work week, 40 hours will be considered full time. The Behavioral Health Department at Valley Health is comprised of over 30 providers including psychiatrists, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, licensed clinical social workers, doctoral level psychologists, and licensed counselors. The department has specialty clinics and programs like; Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Medication-Assisted Treatment, Eskatamine, Integrated Consultation Clinic, and Parent Child Interaction Therapy. Seeking a full-time addiction therapist for their Comprehensive Opioid Addiction Treatment program to join a welcoming, vibrant academic health center faculty in the state capital.
Job requirements by the time of hire are:
• Master’s level degree in counseling, Master’s level degree in social work, Doctoral level degree in psychology
• WV license eligible for practicing independent psychotherapy
• Social work requires LICSW
• AADC/ADC or 2+ years of documented substance abuse experience preferred.

Position includes direct clinical care in the CAMC Comprehensive Opioid Addiction Treatment program where medical students, residents, and psychology interns will rotate for teaching supervision.
